Native born North Carolinian where he spent his early years; very introspective inspired by his father’s soul, funk & jazz collection yet morally checked by his mother’s deep compassion for gospel music, an equal balance of both worlds. With his mother and older sister whom he attended church frequently, he would go on to join the Sunday school choir as a drummer at the tender age of around nine, furthermore his grandmother throughout his adolescence owned a piano in which he so desperately desired to learn to play but unfortunately that opportunity never prevailed, but was very fundamental and counted among his early influences. A natural with words and in the fine arts department he frequently expressed himself & the world around him. After graduating high school he immediately headed for the District of Columbia, where he started a new. Still as a free-lance artist, art was essential & being out on his own for the first time ever, poetry became even more intimate; his interest in writing structured music began to further blossom. By his late teenage years always inspired by the late hip-hop greats and the eclectic multi-generational exposure of diversified genres, soon became a musical incarnation. His writings of music began to materialize as an overflow. Other personnel life altering changes followed and over the next four-years he continued gradually to develop his hip-hop reputation as an introspective lyricist. Through various collaborations, writings & recordings brought the once reticent lyricist to the forefront displaying his lyrical abilities, which helped establish him as a talent in his own right. Pyragon also dedicated three-years towards producing and learning the ins & outs of the studio, due to the unreliability of others. He would go on later to be introduced to “DJ Solograph†in late 06’ which resulted in the making of hip-hop duo “Nondascript†and the spin-off collaboration album “Double Standard†independently released, a conducive mesh; respectfully embrace by many. Pyragon immediately returned to his brainstorm of ideas for a solo LP; manifesting it self when Toronto Canada’s super talented producer Elijah-Blue linked via internet. Having never formally met the two spent countless hours on the phone, and internet exchanging ideas. Months later travel accommodations were coordinated, late June of 07’ “Pyragon†flew to Toronto Canada; the end result was a dynamically crafted hip-hop gem, known as “Virgostratus†revealing the uncharted extent of Pyragon’s topic & lyrical prowess and Mr. Blue’s clever eclectic signature sound. Pyragon currently performs in various states and international, relentlessly quenching hip-hop’s current state of dehydration.
