I AM THE SPIRITUAL EMBODIMENT OF THE SOULS OF MY PEOPLE (ANCESTORS)

About Me

Layout Provided By FreeCodeSource.com - Myspace Layouts I am in the NY area. Born in Harlem, grew up in the South Bronx, Patterson Projects and Kelly Street to be exact. I am also Gullah, my people are from the Sea Islands in Charleston, S.C. I am an historian and I love Black History and am very interested in architectural history. I appreciate buildings that have historical significance. I am a music connoisseur. I was there when Hip-Hop was born at Club 371 in the South Bronx and it was D.J. Hollywood (VH-1 Hip-Hop Honoree) who added his own rhymes over a beat and created the Patti Duke and Freak Dance. Don't let nobody tell you different, it was D.J. Hollywood who transformed hip/hop and named hip-hop, hip hop. Folk runnin' around hollerin' about they did this, they did that, when I was standing right next to Hollywood all those years while he was creating the magic.I am fully in tune with the spirits of the Ancestors. They have sacrificed so much for us and for us to be anything other than honorable in their name is unconscionable. We must make a serious attempt to know our history and from whence we came, we must look upon each other as family, and treat each as such. As far as the music is concerned, we need to get back to what soothes the heart, and tranquilizes the soul.I enjoy concerts and the theatre. I have a profound respect for musicians, Ain't nothing like a live band and kick ass singers who could really sing.Reading is my passion; one never stops learning. In addition, I can't stand stupid and can't stand slow. People gots to have something under the cap in dealing with 'Ship. I'm a free spirit and I enjoy life.I am into loyalty and respect and if you're coming at me with bullshit, save it. I'm into the truth and reality. I'm a leader, not down with no cliques either. I am my own woman, a PROUD BLACK woman who loves herself and don't need anybody to justify my existence. I am for the uplift, education and betterment of my people.I enjoy the theatre and have worked and volunteered at the Negro Ensemble Company in the Development Department for over twenty years. Portia Howard, Dianne Aubrey, where y'all at??Some of the best of Black talent came out of NEC. Adolph Caesar & O.L. Duke, Charles Brown; rest in peace brothers, I'll never forget you.I love to dance and throw down and go to after hour spots, speakeasies, parties, concerts and the theatre. Ain't too much into clubs, folk don't know how to act...

My Interests

Reading, Black Theatre, Music, True Hip-Hop, R&B, special shoutout to the Negro Ensemble Company, Concerts and Nature.

I'd like to meet:

Nelly (Sir Derrty) & the St. Lunatics. That brother is one of my favorite artists and people. His heart is true and I know we would be friends for life. Real recognize real! I've been to every concert he had in NYC, but never met him. As far as I'm concerned Sir Derrty (Nelly) and the St. Lunatics are the best in the business and they're stupid funky and Sir Derrty's lyrical dexterity and flow are unmatched in the game. As a matter of fact, they have changed the game! I wouldn't mind meeting Bernie Mac and I won't mind meeting Katt Williams either. We would have madd fun, my kinda brother!
