She was formally educated in musical/vocal performance at Prairie View A&M University and has also sung with such gospel greats as Kirk Franklin and Shirley Ceasar. At the age of 14, she was blessed to perform on Bobby Jones Gospel Show, on BET. In the secular music world, she has also performed with the R&B luminary, Howard Hewitt. She has sung with many underground and well known Hip Hop artists in the Dallas/Ft. Worth, Houston, and Atlanta metropolitan areas, and has contributed her vocals to demo CDs too many to mention. Pimp My ProfileShe believes that music is a powerful tool, to be used in healing the souls of people. Evoking the musical/spiritual traditions of ancient and modern African peoples, she understands that music possesses the power to change peoples minds and hearts. She has committed to using her voice and her gift to teach the art of love, to re-teach her listeners how to love, because she considers love to a fundamental building block in the co-creation of societal harmony, for all societies and peoples across the globe. She believes that, somehow, the art of love has been lost, and also that it has been subsumed in popular and secular music. Music heals wounds and, through song, the value and necessity of music to the human soul will become an imperative and a force used for spiritual and mental health, rather than for material reasons alone, by facilitating greater cooperation and the healing of racial and national divisions.
