Chuck Byrd is an Actor by trade and Thespian by birth. Born and raised in Washington, DC he navigated his way through the urban jungles where so many of his friends lost their compass and fell pray to the streets. He attended the prestigious Duke Ellington School of the Arts studying theatre where he developed a respect and love for the spoken word as well as the vessel it extends from. After graduating from Ellington, Chuck began performing in various stage productions through out the DC, Metropolitan area and later began producing them himself along with a talented group of close friends. Noted for his "rawness" in his character portrayals Hollywood came knocking at his door in the film "Good To Go" aka "Short Fuse" in which he appeared next to notable heavy's the likes of Harris Yulin of Al Pacino's epic "Scarface", Art Garfunkel of the legendary singing dual "Simon and Garfunkel", Richard Brooks of "Law and Order" and Fab Five Freddy of MTV's "Yo MTV Raps". Struck with the motion picture bug, Chuck left the theatre scene in the Nation's Capitol and journeyed out to the west coast to Southern California. He now can be seen in movies such as Black Entertainment
Television's "Multitude of Mercies" with Malcom Jamal Warner and R&B new singing sensation Raheem DeVaughn, "Breaking The Last Taboo" an Independent Film written and directed by Nancy Norman along with various other indie films. Bicoastal Chuck finds himself on either side of the country at any time and maybe a stage near you. So keep a look out for this ship in the wind. It will be sailing your way.
