Kato Hammond is the owner of Take Me Out To The Go-Go, Inc., editor  and publisher of Take Me Out To The Go-Go Magazine , executive producer of TMOTTGoGo DVD Magazine, and webmaster of TMOTTGoGo .com .  Known for creating all these aspects of The Official Gateway to a Washington, DC Urban Culture, Kato has been instrumental in educating the local, national, and international masses about go-go music and DC entertainment.  He is an award-winning playwright, accomplished musician, and acclaimed journalist.  His history as a musician includes performing and recording with Pure Elegance, Little Benny and The Masters and Proper Utensils, and most recently as co-music director of Fatal Attraction Band.

Kato grew up in Seat Pleasant, Maryland, and attended the Duke Ellington School of the Arts in Washington, DC and Bowie High School in Bowie, MD.   Always a student to entertainment, he performed as a child in area organizations such as CUE (Childrens Urban Arts Ensemble), Bren-Carr Dancers and The T-N-T Poppers. At the age of 17, Kato wrote a play entitled "Buddies" that listed in the finalist division of the Joseph Papps New York Young Playwrights Festival. This play was performed Off-Broadway and starred an up-and-coming actor at the time by the name of Denzel Washington.
