Description: All Kaitlyn Simon ever wanted was for her father to quit calling her Chubbs -- and to be as thin as her two older sisters. To stop the name-calling, she goes on a very strict and very unhealthy diet -- a diet that works almost too well. As the weight comes pouring off, something interesting happens. Her popularity soars, boys are interested and she makes new friends. And if losing a few pounds works this, imagine if she lost even more weight? She does, restricting her diet even more, and soon Kaitlyn grows thinner and thinner. Too thin. But when her sister is confronted with her own devasting loss, Kaitlyn's unhealthy weight loss falls completely under the family's radar; that is, until it reaches a critical phase. As her parents and sisters rally around her, Kaitlyn will discover that losing weight will not solve all of her problems -- but will this revelation come too late?
I have a heart for young girls who have a problem with eating disorders as I have had one since I was eleven. I wrote this novel about a young girl that has anorexia.
