nova static are an alternative rock act based in laois, described as “one of the best original acts in the countyâ€.
having existed in some form for a number of years, the current line-up of dara comerford (drums), daniel heffernan (guitar/vox), brian scully (guitar) and stephen wall (bass) came together at the tail end of 2006.
making their live debut in february 2007, the band has followed an upward trajectory ever since; quickly developing a more mature sound; appearing regularly at venues around the country; securing support slots with acts such as republic of loose, the immediate and we should be dead; as well as receiving airplay (and some kind words) from 2fm’s dan hegarty.
2008 looks to be another busy year for nova static; having embraced their more eclectic influences, the band are looking forward to playing lots of shows in lots of places, further recordings, festival dates and media appearances.
