About Me

Even if the world can be a happy place and you just want to dance and drink and listen to Billie the Vision and the Dancers, some days you just feel so down. Lost Summer Kitten was born late in December 2005, when 2/4 of our band left us for other missions. We were left behind, with our acoustic guitars, and our blue down feelings. So we did what you always do when that happens; you form a band with a really sad name, write some songs and release an EP.We play everywhere for drinks and tips. Or at least allowance for travelling expenses.--------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ -------------------------------Based in Lund , Lost Summer Kitten has rapidly developed from a side project to become ..The Main Thing... The group was formed in December 2005 when the other band of Lisa and Matilda took a break and the rest of the members moved abroad.What was first considered as a pastime project until the others moved back again was soon an establish band in south of Sweden. A home recorded four track demo led to a lot of well appreciated live appearances where varied songs, soft guitars and singing in parts were in the centre.Earlier on, Lost Summer Kitten was a downright duo, but now they take their music one step further and invite guest musicians, among others Lars Djurlin from Doctor Dunbar's Medicine Band, to contribute on their debut EP.The EP is produced by Jens Almqvist from Kulturmejeriet in Lund , and is also recorded there. New features in their music is that some of the songs have complementary additions like drums, base and other instruments such as chime of bells and keyboards. The lyrics are bittersweet and the production is low-key. Yeah Oh Wow is a real friend in the coming autumn darkness and the music of Lost Summer Kitten and the two extraordinary girls are worth every bit of attention they get.
