SATSUMA are a 5-piece London band formed in 2005. Their songs, written by lead singer/keyboardist Ivy Ngeow, are modern and eclectic, with strong urban grooves and lyrics. They have played headlining gigs at London venues such as: The Marquee Club, The Troubadour Club, The Water Rats, The Betsey Trotwood, Plan B and Clockwork.

About the songwriter: Ivy Ngeow was born and raised in Johor Bahru (population 2.7 million), Malaysia. It is a multicultural tropical city the same size as Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic and Taipei in Taiwan. She started her music eduation at age 4, and has never stopped. She has been writing, recording and performing ever since, in bands, readings, open mics, projects, sessions etc. Ivy is a prize-winning writer, having won the Middlesex University Literary Prize in 2005, which attracted 1400 entrants worldwide. She loves urban life, citydwellers and city culture. She has lived in cities all her life and this is the main inspiration for her music and her lyrics.
