Creating my own reality through observation.

About Me

I'm just your average one-eyed, half bald, cowboy poet. Born into a rural community and weened on the salt of the earth. All the while cultivating my own brand of megalomania.

My Interests

Music, Dance, Horror Movies, Philosophy, and Blackberry Pie.

I'd like to meet:

People who aren't afraid of having their paradigm shifted around without warning. Oh, and people who don't whine. Did I mention I hate Duke fans and I'm growing increasingly tired of Hipsters. Just remember everyone thinks they're special, and they're right, but they're usually not special in the way they think they are.

Music:

OK, OK...I feel the need to expand this list
Neil Young, Hank Williams Sr., Gram Parsons, Willie Nelson, George Jones, Tom Waits, Tricky, Blackstar, Janes Addiction, Johnny Cash, Son Volt, The Police, Bread, Conway Twitty, Public Enemy, Johnny Paycheck, Lefty Frizzel, The Roots, Elvis, The Beatles, The Cure, Merle Haggard, The Beach Boys, Townes Van Zandt, My Band!!!, and pretty much anything that ain't on the top 40 hit parade.

Movies:

Heavens Gate(Cimino), La Dolce Vita(Fellini), Ikura(Kurasawa), Aguirre Wrath of God(Herzog), The Searchers(Ford), Rosemary's Baby(Polanski), Zombie(Fulci), Once upon a time in the West(Leone), The Omen(Donner), Dead Man(Jarmusch), Straw Dogs(Peckinpah), Touch Of Evil(Welles), Stray Dogs(Kurasawa), Thing(Carpenter), Mr. Arkadin(Welles), Kill Baby Kill(Bava), Any Universal Horror movie from the scarlet theater period, and the good Hammer stuff.

Television:

Don't watch much TV

Books:

The new H.P. Lovecraft anthologies edited and annotated by S.T. Yoshi, The Illumanautus Trilogy, Stranger in a Strange Land, Diary Of A Drug Fiend, Ambrose Bierce's collected works, Mansion on the Hill

Heroes:

Anyone who does what they want without faltering under the weight of other peoples expectations. Of course, that's not to say someone who is apathetic. Being apathetic is the antithesis of acting ethically. So, someone who cares for other peoples feelings, but still manages to live life in their own way. "I do not suppose I shall be remembered for anything. But I don't think about my work in those terms. It is just as vulgar to work for the sake of posterity as to work for the sake of money" ~Orson Welles~
