The Escape Route have had the pleasure of sharing the stage with the likes of Solanoid, Record Department, Kram, Whoresx3, The Mos Eisley, Tigers, Polly's Medicine, Concentration Champ, Smilex and many more
The Escape Route has four members and the sum of their ages is 67. They knew from the beginning that they had come face to face with people whose mere personalities were so fascinating that, if they allowed it to do so, it would absorb their whole nature, their whole soul, their very art itself. They covered page after page with wild words of sorrow and wilder words of pain. There is a luxury in self-reproach. When we blame ourselves, we feel that no one else has a right to blame us. It is the confession, not the priest, that gives us absolution. There were moments when they looked on evil simply as a mode through which they could realise their conception of the beautiful. Nowadays most people die of a sort of creeping common sense, and discover when it is too late that the only things one never regrets are one's mistakes.
