About Me

BUY 'LET IT RAIN' TODAY!
ABOUT 'LET IT RAIN': Made with producer Dave Armstrong (Back Door Slam, Truman Falls, Jacoba) the record is very different from the latest batch of Girls With Guitars - it's packed with immediate but lingering songs, brought to life by a skill for creative lyricism and subtle references to her stunning operatic abilities. Anna's rich, warm vocal, layered harmonies, loops & samples & beautiful ballads -along with a hint at her classical background - all go to make up a stunning, distinctive record. There are moments of rock, pop, soul and jazzy blues, and everyone is VERY proud of it...It also comes in a rather fetching digipack format, so it's nice to look at too!!
Classically trained from a very early age, Anna made her first stage performance when she was just 5 years old. She has the superb control and vocal quality that you would expect after years of continuous vocal coaching and has enjoyed success in many classical competitions. But in the past year, everything has changed for Anna: she has shifted from a background of entertaining Royalty with opera style precision, to using all of that talent - and more - to bring her own, very contemporary songs to an eager audience.
Since she started gigging her own material, she's been reaching out to a rapidly growing fanbase with a live performance that comes straight from the heart. Touching on influences ranging from classical artists like Janet Baker and Sumi Jo, to contemporary musicians Sarah McLachlan, Massive Attack and Zero 7, she puts her hard earned keyboard skills to use and blends a stunning vocal range with a sensitivity and warmth that grabs the coldest heart.
Her talent was recently rewarded with the prestigious Air Malta Award at the Malta International Song Festival and by her gaining the support slot for Triskel Promotions' sold out Katie Melua gig; the same talent is now being captured on disc - Anna's debut CD, The Horoscope EP, and debut album, 'Let It Rain', are OUT NOW on Stereoscout Records (www.stereoscout.com)
Anna is now also gigging the new material with a full band, which adds a depth and variety to her sound and gives her the opportunity to really soar in live performance. Visit www.annagoldsmith.com for more info Please direct all media & booking enquiries to [email protected]
