Born Lance Fisher in Detroit Michigan, Young Famous has evolved into a mainstay and a leader in the detroit music scence.Famous began his rap career in highschool and passed up college scholarships because he was so sureminded with his craft.Rapping alongside his partner in rhyme Flame, he battled for his respect around the city and dropped a mixtape in hopes of solidifying himself among the cities elite.His ambition would be rewarded when BIG PROOF of D12 heard him battle and was passed a mixtape on the youngster.Little did he know that proof was building his record label IRON FIST RECORDS. At first Big Proof was only interested in getting him signed to a major and doing a joint venture deal,but later decided to bring famous aboard as a member of the group he currently departed from "PURPLE GANG".While under the tutalege of proof he and his partner 40 appeared on countless mixtapes and even took home a DETROIT HIP HOP AWARD in 2005 for thier mixtape effort "HOODFELLAZ" which moved a respected amount of units on the streets and solidified them as a detroit mainstay.
Young Famous' career is looking bright. Not only talented in songwriting as his "Detroit Hip Hop Awards 2006 lyricist of the Year" title shows, He has done shows with the likes of acts such as Young Buck,Trick-Trick,Obie Trice,Slum Village etc. and completed a 49 day tour opening for d12. He continues to heat the streets with his partner flame and thier incredibly popular mixtapes released in totals of 15,000 or better.And with that being said have gained the attention of major labels showing intrest in commiting. In addition to thier in demand mixtapes,He and flame are currently in the studio working on thier upcoming duo project.But, while in the process currently has a single slowly but surely creeping up on the airwaves.That song is "IM FRESH" and has been getting good feedback from dj's as well as the streets.
With alot of speculating going on expecially with him leaving his former label IRON FIST RECORDS. Young Famous has little to say about his former home "That situation turned sour, sour people do sour things..so i left em...SOUR..if famous was a weak link, then certain niggas wasnt even on the damn chain..AT ALL.non exsistant haha,but lets have the music talk..thats shit is old news to me, let them talk." With those words,He and flame are slated to drop a mixtape called "THE INHERITANCE" hosted by detroit up and comer DJ YOUNG MASE and DJ SALAM WRECK (Shady) that is slated to drop in april.
