IN LOVING MEMORY OF COLOMBIAN PRINCE

About Me

Our beloved Colombian Prince was born Aug 31st sometime in the early 80's. No birth records are known of the Almighty Colombian Prince but it's universally accepted that he was born circa 1981 in Bin Palo, Colombia. At the age of 3 his mother smuggled him with his brothers in a cocaine boat headed for the United States to escape the civil wars terrorizing the Barrios. They ended up in Miami, Florida. The Almighty eventually made his way to the Southside of Chicago with his father's family. In between Cottage Grove and King Drive the young Colombian Prince was taught English, hustling and the customs of the world of Chicago. Colombian Prince was blessed into the Black P. Stone Nation of Moorish Science by the Honorable General Gichiwa of the Nine Tre under the watchful eye of Trig and Gandes where he learned the knowledge of self and the spirit of entrepreneurship. With this foundation he left school in the 8th grade to pursue his many endeavors, one of these were music. Upon enrolling back in school years later upon the Moes advice the Almighty Colombian Prince graduated from Kenwood Academy. There at Kenwood surrounded by the Arts he founded, 3993, an alliance of artists in all facets of the Hip-Hop Culture between 39th and 93rd Street. The hundreds of young men and women, boys and girls in attendance to the meetings created a powerful sight on Indiana Avenue. They produced many shows and special events Illinois still talks about to this day. While working on a compilation album for the alliance and attending Columbia College, Chicago, brother Almighty caught the attention of Preast and Maasta LINK (Chicago Shawn) of the underground cult following music group, Qualo. Together they founded the Movement. In 2001 they began work on an album that was released independently a year later, while distributing the entire Mike Love mix tape series. After another group album and countless mix tape classics the beloved brother Almighty mysteriously disappeared. Numerous international ??? agencies have announced claim to the assassination of the Almighty but no evidence has been traced. The only remnants of evidence we have is a series of letters that recently popped up at his grandmother's beauty salon on Exchange. The letters are written in the Native Mayan language that we have yet to find a translator for. Maybe these letters, in a language over 10,000 years old can solve the puzzle of how the God we honored so much vanished. This at this time, we don't know. What we do know is that we will keep his message alive by composing this album of our favorite songs of his. You will love this music, be inspired by this music, and wang the hell out of this here demonstration. But while you are loving, being inspired, and wangin' the hell out of this here demonstration know that there are tribes of men, women, and children of Chicago that honor this demonstration. Enjoy.Be peaceful / All is well
