About Me

I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4
I love the early 1900's. There's just no class, no romance, no beauty in detail, in today's everyday life. It's very sad. So I prefer an old fashioned lifestyle, and boy do I ever! Last year, my husband and I opened our very own vintage clothing store here in downtown Redlands right before our beautiful 1920's/30's wedding. We are absolute yard saling, swap meeting, treasure-digging junkies who have made our passion for the past our everyday life. We crusade to bring back hats and gloves and bowties, petticoats and rolled stockings and garters. I am also fascinated with our paper trail through the past- old photographs, postcards, etc.
Before we opened the store, I worked full-time in Archaeology, going out in the field to excavate or survey. Now I do it on an on-call basis. I was the site photographer for a Native American excavation in Marina del Rey for 10 months in 2005. Photography and Archaeology were my two main areas of study so it was perfect to combine them. Both are about the thrill of discovery. There's nothing like bringing something to light again that's been buried for decades or centuries. Or capturing a moment forever... I grew up in the San Fernando Valley/L.A. are and enjoy visiting the nightlife there, but I am loving living in Redlands with all it's old Victorian houses and small-town atmosphere....and great people to boot! If you're ever in town don't forget to visit Hobo's Vintage in historic downtown!
I'm selling some vintage clothing treasures on ebay now, check back repeatedly for more and more! Click here - The Lady Hobo
