Plays well with others, is very creative and a talented artist, is an excellent student and a pleasure to have in class, has very neat and legible penmanship, needs more effort in class participation, could use more effort in keeping her desk neater...
Random factoids about me:
Darkness and light are both necessary and beautiful. I live in the light, but I acknowledge and respect the dark.
Mid-Brained: am equally comfortable speaking both Right and Left Brain, and often switch between. I am not, however, ambidextrous.
Artist-type person. Oil on canvas is my first love, but I also date digital paintings, watercolors, acrylics, gouache, and pencil drawings. I mostly paint what I've been calling ‘psychological landscapes’: human beings in their natural habitats. I’m teaching myself graphic design as well, and am learning web design (link to come once the website is done).
I journal regularly, have since I was 13 and crying the blues over my social life (which has improved as I’ve gotten bolder--and funnier!--with age). Short stories, poems, and letters (the art of letter-writing must be resurrected!) have also all made their way out of my pen, and a blog makes its way out of my keyboard, too. Someday, a graphic novel will be in the works...it’s circling ’round and ’round my head now, plotting, plotting its debut...
Drumming! Is awesome! I play djembe drum (an African drum shaped like a goblet), and I frequent drumming circles every chance I get. You might even catch me dancing at one of them (but don’t tell the drum—it has abandonment issues...).
I live to dance, in free verse or formally, as in jazz and ballroom and swing (still getting my sea legs with the formal dancing).
Theater, dance, cabaret, vaudeville and carnivales are dear, dear loves of mine (and are inching their way into my art as a recurring motif). Shakespeare told us that all the world was a stage and we are merely players—who am I to contradict The Bard?
I’ve acted some in community theater, and would like to return to that someday, and get better at it.
The Jazz Age is the bee's knees, baby! I love everything about the culture of the 1920’s and the 1930’s (the years between the two World Wars). I collect all sorts of pretty old things--antiques, decorative sheet music, photographs, vintage clothes, hats.
I adore humor. I love witty people. I love puns and verbal repartee. I love silly and goofy humor. I love a good running joke. I will be the one laughing at your jokes when no one else does. Around me, you will begin to think you are the funniest person alive.
Thinking deep, important thoughts and having intellectual discussions till 3am (especially with witty people) is one of the best ways to spend time. Trying to figure out the mysteries of the cosmos either on my own or with others satisfies my little Aquarius Moon. Ahhhh...
I’m a total Taurus, in that I live through my senses. Whatever beauty I can see, hear, touch, smell, taste is what makes me purr.
I try to be as kind as I can to other sentient beings. It makes me feel good.
Hanging out in nature is the best! Camping, hiking, hang-gliding, picnicking, bird-watching...anything to do with being outside. Especially around trees—I have a sneaking feeling that I’m part dryad...
I like the juxtaposition of seemingly opposing elements...anything eclectic, off-the-wall, quirky, avant-garde makes me smile.
