A Mrs.

About Me

I made my myspace layout using Pimp-My-Profile.com

I am a girl. A girl about to turn 31. Fine, I am 31. But, just barely. I guess that makes me a woman, or maybe a lady. I still prefer girl. I work for the Rockwood School District as an Area Supervisor in the Adventure Club program. That just means that I make sure our teachers are: enriching the lives of children without allowing them to fashion any form of weapon, real or pretend (even if it is a "light saber" made out of pencil shavings), ensuring that all children ask nicely to go to the bathroom instead of asking to "use it", and never ever wearing flip-flops. I make the fat cash at Laughs on the Landing, oh wait...they still owe me that fat cash even though I haven't worked there in 5 months.I live in a great house with Kris Ramsey, my fiance...CORRECTION, my husband! We have Leroy, Reggie, and Dizzy - two dogs and a cat (plus the various humane society animals that we foster). It's a zoo. A cute, happy zoo.I have an addiction to Sun-Drop. Don't judge me. Just take a drink. You'll see.

My Interests

I'm interested in most things. I may not like them all, but I'm interested.

I'd like to meet:

Somebody that would let me punch them in the stomach as hard as I could, and I wouldn't have to feel bad because they'd be really tough, and it wouldn't even hurt a little. And Mother Theresa. She's cool.

Music:

I will listen to something that I don't like until somebody else changes the station/cd just because I don't care all that much - unless it's really loud and obnoxious. But, because of the strong influence that Kris has over me, I've formed a very large liking for Jack Johnson and Ben Harper. I also enjoy the heck out of Susan Tedeschi and Allison Krausch.

Movies:

Most movies that I see I don't remember anything about 10 minutes after I've watched them. I really like Good Will Hunting, Garden State, Pursuit of Happiness, the Jerk, Best in Show, Waiting for Guffman, Finding Neverland, I think Napolean Dynamite is stinkin' funny as well as There's Something About Mary. I enjoy most all movies for one reason or another, until I forget them. Except Thin Red Line - oh, awful. I should probably watch it again to see if I still think it is equivilent to watching my co-worker dust dandruff off of her shoulders.

Television:

I really dig the Office, and the Amazing Race. I love Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip! Again, I will watch anything that Kris turns the tv to. Because he loves me (and because he is not your average fella) we watch a lot of Design on a Dime. You never know when you might need to make a coffee table out of scrap metal and industrial sized velcro strips.

Books:

I don't read much. I should do that more.

Heroes:

Should this be profound? How about Jesus? He's hero worthy. Dying for people's sins. That's pretty heroic, right?

My Blog

The other day...

some young guy called me Ma'am and tipped his hat at me.  Bummer.

Funny Little Dude

My three year old nephew, Calan, is a very curious child.  He is often asking questions that require a lot of thought and consideration for a 3 year old.  He asks things like, "how come the ...

For Dave

Because Dave commanded me to post this story: My brother in law, (and for his protection - although I only have one brother in law - I'll not mention his name), took a little trip to the MacDonald's t...

I don't get it

This whole blogging thing.  I don't get it.  Is it supposed to be a diary?  Because if so, then don't you want it to be private?  And, if you are sharing information that should be...
