This Durham, NC resident’s ten-years rap career began to blossom as he begin to get exposure as a member of The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s own Hip-Hop Nation, which helped to launch the careers of local artists such as Kaze, Sankofa, and Tyfu. Upon graduating, E.S.T. started teaching high school Social Studies in Durham, NC. This experience helped define E.S.T.’s destiny in hip-hop, giving him the passion to be the balance and the drive to be the breath of Fresh Air that is so desperately needed in hip-hop.To describe his style is to take Redman's energy, Talib Kweli's flow, Mos Def’s substance, with a gasp of self-reflection from A Tribe Called Quest and a sniff of Kanye West in one breath. . . now exhale . . .
