I am here for Networking

About Me

Well, since the only things that matter are eternal, I’ll start there in telling you about myself. I am a sold out, living testimony of the goodness, grace, and mercy of God! My love for Jesus Christ is boundless and He is the center of my life and the prominent figure in all that I do
With that having been said, I am a new author who is walking out the vision that God gave her one day and one keystroke at a time. I don’t use the term “God gave me” lightly. It was He who invaded my sleep for YEARS showing me the same story over and over and over again on my mental movie screen. It was He who caused me to become so intimately acquainted with each character that I seem to know more about them than I do about myself. It was also God Almighty who flipped the script on me once I polished the first novel in that series and was about ¾ of the way through polishing the second installment. For me the timing couldn't have been worse. I mean I had purchased copyrights, shopped for a cover artist and, lined up several other key elements for my Under The Shadow Of The Almighty series! I started thinking I had some form of Writers ADHD! How could I switch gears mid-stream when I had been pouring my heart into this series of novels? After talking to a few seasoned writers, I discovered that this was fairly normal so I didn't need to seek out any professional help. *smile* As a result my baby, my series of novels, entitled Under The Shadow Of The Almighty was temporarily shelved. Believe me, this wasn’t something that I set out to do casually. After all I had been getting on everyone’s nerves talking about the big series I was releasing and had been pushing hard to get it self published. This decision was Divine and as you may know, when dealing with God, He likes to spring surprises on you but His surprises always turn out well.
In May 2007 I sat down and began writing the novel which will precede the Under The Shadow Of The Almighty series. SIX OF ONE OR HALF DOZEN OF ANOTHER centers around Amerigua Stevens who is a stylish, voluptuously plus-sized, forty-year-old, single-never-been-married, childless, struggling to remain celibate church girl that’s trying to get a grip on her tumultuous personal life while waiting for God to bring her husband on the scene. Unfortunately God doesn’t seem to be in too much of a hurry to hook her up. With all of her girls married with children, the number of available single men at her church dwindling to an all time low, her biological clock ticking and a fear of becoming an old spinster stuck in a house full of cats, Amerigua feels the need to handle things herself. Fueled by a history of crazy men, bad relationships, almosts, not quites and, nasty gossip from the church’s spin doctors, Amerigua allows coincidences, misunderstood advice and, her vivid desperation fed imagination to propel her into a race to fill the cold space on the right side of her king-sized bed as she deals with her lifelong personal demons.
SIX OF ONE OR HALF DOZEN OF ANOTHER is an Urban Christian Autobiographical Fiction novel based on the essay, “The Relationship Parallel” also penned by Sharon D. Moore.
For those of you that have been chomping at the bit for the Under The Shadow Of The Almighty project, don’t worry – its coming. It hasn’t been canceled – simply postponed.
Stay tuned for more information on and excerpts from SIX OF ONE OR HALF DOZEN OF ANOTHER
In 2006 I had the pleasure and privilege of turning forty years old. The number 40 means a time of testing and this chick has truly been tested personally and professionally but now I am seeing the rewards of sticking to my purpose and not taking myself out of the game. Never stop believing. Never stop praying. Never stop dreaming. Never stop hoping. It is NEVER too late!

MySpace ‘Add-Me’ Friend Requests:
Thank you for your interest in being added to my world. I count it an honor and a privilege that you would want me to be a part no matter the level of involvement. This page however will not respond to any requests that are deemed inappropriate by this page owner. Some examples of pages that would not be viewed as appropriate are pages that promote pornography, profanity, anti-Christian views, racist material, and questionable money making schemes /sales pitches. I will not consider your friend request if your profile is set to private because I would like to view it before I respond. I will also not accept any invitations that come from incomplete profiles or those without some type of profile picture. Also once added, if your page theme changes or you begin to send out messages and bulletins that promote inappropriate material, you will be warned and then deleted if the page/message does not change to something deemed appropriate by this page owner.

Because I am here to network, my primary interest is to do just that with other authors, publishers, artists, editors, agents, and anyone else involved in the book publication industry. Naturally I am also interested in networking with avid readers as well. We couldn’t do what we do without your support and your feedback is extremely important to me.

Due to the large nature of the project we are undertaking, I am also interested in networking with songwriters, musicians, producers, beat-creators, vocal coaches, psalmists, and anyone else involved in the music industry. The film and television industry is welcomed as well - particularly screenwriters. Lastly I cannot forget my personal friends and family, organizations (MANNAGOD baby!), and my plus-sized sisters who are beautifully and wonderfully made as well as those who keep us looking incredible. (smile) God bless you!
