Fait d'Anvers started out in 2005, playing mainly streetcorners, bars and squats. When a first demo was about to be released in the spring of 2006, some more musicians joined the band. We started playing in bigger bars and squats, and on corners of bigger streets.
Summer of 2006 the band toured France and Spain, playing shows from Avignon to Granada, with stops in Metz, Macon, Beziers, L'Estartit, Almuñecar, Murcia, Valencia, Barcelona and finally La Rochelle.
In two years time we became a sixpiece with under our wings: singers, guitars, upright bass, drums, violin, cajón and some other percussion instruments.
Past fall of 2007 we did a support-tour with the boys from Belgian hitmachine Fixkes, who have recently released their first album(check the poster below for (past) dates and venues).
We had the opportunity to record our concert at the Ancienne Belgique in Brussels. A selection of songs from this session has been released together with 3 studio-tracks. It's all on the limited 'C'est pas Dur' - cd. On this space you can listen to some of the songs on it (there are a few copies left so shout if you'd like one).
Similarly, the concert at De Roma in Antwerp was filmed by a wonderful team of filmers. These guys are still working with the material but the result of their labor should appear on this page very soon.
