La Femme Belge

On a blazing hot day a year ago, Federico rang up some musical friends to inform them about performing that evening at a local poetry/music eve. Due to gruesome matters they wish to avoid cautiously, Federico, Michele and Gerardo barely made it to the gig. But just in time the bon vent blew their way and they managed to climb the stage with one double bass, two guitars and three voices, performing gipsy jazz standards, an eerie Tom Waits cover and a heart-and-voicebreaking Manu Chao song.
Aforesaid gig wasn't quite the roaring succes they'd imagined. That's why the jolly threesome decided they were going to extend their family ànd their rehearsal time. They made the necessary phone calls and arrangements and tricked Samuele and Ricardo into playing the leads on guitar and violin. As more shows followed and the repertoire expanded, La Femme Belge hit the Magick Circus on a stormy July day, together with then-moustached producer Giovanni, a fully-wired maniac with a mixing table for a brain and an amplifier where his heart should be. Needless to say, they delivered a fine piece of work, which you can enjoy on this very page.
La Femme Belge recently registered new songs with the again-moustached, again fully-wired maniac Giovanni. The result of this session is now available and parts of it you can check out right here too.
