Lamá

Started in the kitchen of a Melselian house by two cousins, Jan & Hendrik, with a love for Djangesque hotness, Lamá soon was joined by fiery clarinettist Jo. After laughter came fears as they performed their first gig in an Antverpian bar, which soon led to invitations to play at various smoking parties. At one of these tipsy-gipsy-feasts two more Lamá’s, eight-handed freak-percussionist Seppe and slappin’ double-bassist Daniël joined the herd. The music which survived this violent collision of influences can be described as a mixture of gipsy jazz, summertunes and the occasional streak of broken-hearted poetry. Come and experience!
