Our troops at playOnly American Troops can be this nuts. We have a rockin Army! THE FINALINSPECTIONThe Soldier stood and faced God,Which must always come to pass.He hoped his shoes were shining,Just as brightly as his brass."Step forward now, Soldier,How shall I deal with you?Have you always turned the other cheek? To My Church have you been true?"The soldier squared his shoulders and said,"No, Lord, I guess I ain't.Because those of us who carry guns,Can't always be a saint.I've had to work most Sundays,And at times my talk was tough. And sometimes I've been violent,Because the world is awfully rough. But, I never took a penny,That wasn't mine to keep...Though I worked a lot of overtime,When the bills got just too steep. And I never passed a cry for help,Though at times I shook with fear. And sometimes, God, forgive me,I've wept unmanly tears.I know I don't deserve a place,Among the people here. They never wanted me around,Except to calm their fears. If you've a place for me here, Lord,It needn't be so grand.I never expected or had too much,But if you don't, I'll understand. There was a silence all around the throne,Where the saints had often trod.As the Soldier waited quietly,For the judgment of his God."Step forward now, you Soldier,You've borne your burdens well.Walk peacefully on Heaven's streets,You've done your time in Hell."~Author Unknown~ They Messed With The Wrong CountryHonor Them For They Do CareLove ThemWe Should All Do This When They Come Home !!!
The soldier A United States soldier was attending some college courses between assignments. He had completed missions in Iraq and Afghanistan. One of the courses had a professor who was an avowed atheist and a member of the ACLU.One day the professor shocked the class when he came in. He looked to the ceiling and flatly stated, "God, if you are real, then I want you to knock me off this platform. I'll give you exactly 15 minutes." The lecture room fell silent. You could hear a pin drop. Ten minutes wentby and the professor proclaimed, "Here I am God. I'm still waiting." It got down to the last couple of minutes when the soldier got out of his chair, went up to the professor, and cold-cocked him knocking him off the platform. The professor was out cold. The soldier went back to his seat and sat there, silently. The other students were shocked and stunned and sat there looking on in silence. The professor eventually came to, noticeably shaken, looked at the soldier and asked, "What the hell is the matter with you? Why did you do that?"The soldier calmly replied, "God was too busy today protecting America's soldiers who are protecting your right to say stupid shit and act like an asshole. So, He sent me."
Freedom
By Angel Heart
They told me that I have all the freedom I could ask for
They told me that I had it because I was born in the United States
They told me that I was lucky
Because I have the freedom to think for myself
Because I have the freedom to criticize the government
Because I have the freedom to dress how I want
And say what I want
And be what I want
And these are all freedoms I take advantage of
And because I have the freedom to learn, I took advantage of that
And I learned that there were others without freedom
And not just in other countries
Just because they’re of another race
Just because they’re of another religion
Those are the reasons they don’t get freedom
Those are the people who don’t get freedom
Those people are the mistakes
Because freedom should be for everybodyI Have seen a Few Support the Troops Bulletins Going Around. Thank you for Your Support of the Troops But Please Use Approved Sites that are Safe for Our Troops. Thx, CurtDoD Stresses Troop Support Mail Policy, DoD has become aware of organizations and individuals who continue to support some form of Servicemember program with good intentions. The result, however, is a potential danger to the troops they wish to support. DoD cannot support creative and well-intentioned efforts that defeat force protection measures, but can instead recommend alternatives. To show support to troops overseas, the Services Listed Below are recommended: Log on to the following Web sites Listed Below to show support, to include Emails, Letters, Care Packages and more to help the Troops. As the soot and dirt and ash rained down,
We became one color.
As we carried each other down the stairs of the burning building,
We became one class.
As we lit candles of waiting and hope,
We became one generation.
As the firefighters and police officers fought their way into the inferno,
We became one gender.
As we fell to our knees in prayer for strength,
We became one faith.
As we whispered or shouted words of encouragement,
We spoke one language.
As we gave blood in lines a mile long,
We became one body.
As we mourned together the great loss,
We became one family.
As we cried tears of grief and loss,
We became one soul.
As we retell with pride of the sacrifice of heros,
We become one people.
We are One color, One class, One generation, One gender, One faith, One language, One body, One family, One soul, One People.
We are The Power of One.
We are United.
We are America
