Stain Studio was founded in May 1999 by Gospodin "Geppy" Gospodinov and Kliment Kalev - two Bulgarian musicians who decided to create and run a studio of their own in order to record the debut album of Geppy's band that was called Stain. The work on this record turned out very professional, so other performers called and wanted to record in the studio, too. This is how it all began.
In the course of time many albums with high sound quality were produced at Stain Studio, a.o.:

- Fyeld - "Fyeld"
- Cigaretta - "14 songS"
- Stain - "Slivane"
- Ostava - "Mono"
In the year 2000 Stain Studio started working not just on audio, but on video production as well. Most artists claim that it's niveau has reached the world's highest standards in video making. Until now Stain Studio's crew has shot and produced music videos for the bigger part of Bulgaria's contemporary music scene, a.o.:

- Ostava - "Chocolate"
- Hypodil - "Skakauets"
- Cigaretta - "Huh-Huh"
- Sepuko 6 - "Dushcomfort"
- Fyeld - "I Scream"
At present Stain Studio is one of the better audio and video recording studios in Bulgaria, with two professional audio recording rooms (A and B) and a green box video hall, with a total area of more than 300 square meters.
Stain Studio broadened its range of activities once more in 2002: A decision was taken not only to produce albums, but to release and distribute them as well. So far about a dozen bands and solo performers have signed a record deal with Stain Studio, namely Crowfish, Cigaretta, The Revenge Project, Fyeld, Last Hope, Ostava, Sepuko 6, Svetlyo Zhilev...
In 2003 Stain Studio started arranging bigger concerts for some of the best-known bands in Bulgaria at the time. So far, the company's crew has promoted sold-out live performances by local acts like Fyeld, Matakka, Ostava, Milenita, etc., and Sodom (2004; 3000 visitors), a.o. The last show mentioned was filmed by Stain Studio's crew and released in the end of 2005 by the German record label SPV as the main part of Sodom's DVD "Lords of Depravity - Part I".
