I'm of Brazilian/Italian/Irish descent. I've been playing gigs since I was 5. My Dad is a well-known jazz musician and my Mom used to write liner notes for Motown back in the day. So, I basically grew up on a diet of jazz and once I started picking my own music, I had to rebel. I was into classic rock AND hip-hop. Anything to upset the delicate balance, huh? My musical spectrum has evolved from Led Zeppelin to Public Enemy to Boogie Down Productions to Urban Dance Squad to Mr. Bungle to Portishead to DJ Shadow. So, when I make music or spin, I pull music from everywhere and make it work. My original music touches on most of my influences, again go to "DJ Difference Originals" for the originals. I'm currently the resident DJ at the upscale lounge/restaurant Chakra in Paramus, NJ on Fridays "(chakrarestaurant.com)" . I'm collaborating with The Shimmy Rover on a little hip hop project we call "Muttley Royale" and I play in the Brazilian percussion group "SambaNovo" "(sambanovo.com)"
