Chuck Wagon & the Gravy Train

Shit-Kickin' Honky Tonk from Down South!

About Me

Chuck Wagon & The Gravy Train are causing trouble. Described by fans, friends, and fine women in bars from Japan to Mississippi as everything from a traveling circus of honky tonk heroes to the Devil himself drunk on 9 pints of Maximum Country & Western, one thing is clear: this band is bound to be a bad influence on your daughter. If you ask, ole Chuck'll tell you that he and the boys are just here to save the world one longneck at a time, and whether they're drowning the long gone lady blues (Living Alone, Bottles); rebuilding the hayride (Stay Gone, Barfly); crafting boozy ballads out of 80s pop songs (Prince's I Could Never Take The Place Of Your Man) or just plain chasing women (Darlene), CWGT seem to stick to one kind of music: the Drinking kind. Its difficult to get a straight answer outta this bunch as to where the hell they came from. Honor among thieves, maybe. According to T. Willikers (lead guitar) they met throwing dice on a chain gang outside of Los Angeles; Sleepy C (drums) said they met doing time in Athens, GA, home of the Bulldawgs, 40 Watt, and Alan's World Famous Hamburgers (r.i.p.); and Reverend Johnny Hammer (9 lbs) said something unsuitable for children. Marty Delafongio (bass) was not available for comment. It seems all the unruly behavior has made them more friends than enemies as some of the musicians appearing on the bands upcoming self-titled debut have been down dirt roads with everybody from Marshall Tucker to Macy Gray, Hank Williams III to the Beastie Boys. Some like long time piano man Money Mark, who joins the Wagon on a fried chicken soufflé of the Portishead classic, Sour Times. As for Chuck, well he prefers to tell his side of the story through the music. That begins with the release of this 5 song EP, guaranteed to compliment any long night of bad ideas and even worse behavior.
