About Me

Torin Williams has decided to go professional with his myspace page, and so from here on out will talk about himself in the third person. Seriously.... this guy is cooler than anybody else in the entire world - take it from me, an impartial third party. He should be a lot famouser in my humble, unbiased opinion. In 2004 he left behind family and a host of loved ones in Chicago for greener pastures in Sweden and later found out that they were only green for around two solid months in the summer. The rest of the time they were a sort of wet greyish-brown. -------------------------------------- He has been involved with music and the stage since conception, as his mother and father were a singer and an actor. The musical side was strengthened later by his step-father who is a conductor and singer himself. Torin's early influences were the great composers and singers of opera, and an endless stream of it flowed through his young ears. He counts Pavarotti as one of his first rock concerts. Then came the eighties and his second was Richard Marx. Yeah...they were trying times. He chose to study opera at Luther college. He dropped out and moved to Michigan for a girl, but ended up studying his new-found love, Jazz, at Western Michigan University. The final two years of college were spent in Minnesota honing his skills in composition and broadening his sense of musical taste. ------------------------------------------- Torin Williams has two self-produced full-length albums available ("A Brief Trip Down the Short and Narrow" and "Eight more songs you can't dance to"), and is hard at work on his third. Torin loves to collaborate with like-minded artists, so check out my....err...I mean HIS other page at www.myspace.com/torincollab
