Released Canada Day 2006, their self-titled debut album is a showcase of their dynamic range of bold expressive music. Constantly striving to stretch musical boundaries, Mouthfull of Bees fuses passion and creativity with a dedication to creating a solid, original sound. Quoted as being “an awesome mix of heavy guitars and soulful singing†(James Casper CFUV 101.9 FM), their music also carries a strong acoustic sound, enhanced with distinctive instruments like violin and cello.
Since their inception, Mouthfull of Bees has opened for ‘Loverboy’ at the 2005 Ford World Men’s Curling Championship, ‘The Presidents of the United States of America,’ and has performed at several music festivals including the Fruitvale Mountain Music Festival and the Stamp River Music Festival. The band has performed at a variety of local venues in Victoria, all over Vancouver Island and in the interior of British Columbia.
