About Me

"Meet the Speakers Do Brooklyn Video"

It's hard to put a finger on what Meet The Speakers sounds like. The band members definitely have influences from all over the map. Sometimes you may hear classic rock, blended with Indie and 90's alternative, in the same song. Sometimes you may hear a hint of blues, put together with raw rockabilly. With that in mind, Meet the Speakers have exploded into the music scene, sharing the stage with National Acts and many great bands on many stages. Aside from rocking venue after venue across the east coast, Meet The Speakers collaborates with the Crohns and Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA), putting together benefit shows dubbed "Rock Your Guts". Rock Your Guts raises money and awareness for teens, and children suffering with Crohns Disease. "Rock Your Guts" has been a major success for both MTS and CCFA. MTS is ongoing to help the CCFA and continuing to rock for a cure with a "Rock Your Guts Tour'' in '07 and '08. MTS in December '06 released their self-titled EP and another Demo in October '07, which sell as fast as they're put out. Meet The Speakers is served to you straight up, with no ice!

Sounds Like:

-- Brian Campbell from the Baltimore at Home Paper: Local Music Scene states that M.T.S. is: "...a solid alt-hard rock four piece that has a pretty polished sound. At times Meet the Speakers reminds me of a band that was spawned in early 90's Seattle, and then sometimes of something more modern, like an Audioslave or Velvet Revolver. Regardless, I do like what I hear and you will too. Meet the Speakers combines heavy, down tuned guitars with gritty vocals and beat-filled drumming to create a sound reminiscent of Disclaimer-era Seether or Ten-era Pearl Jam mixed with the slightest touch of the Cold War Kids. MtS can also write a decent sounding call-out hook, and knows how to keep its audience musically interested with its use of riffing."--
