About Me

Hi, I am the one and only Deb O'Nair, an original punker of the 70's who moved from Pennsyltucky to Alphabet City, NYC in 1978 with my bubblegum punk band, Tina Peel, who later became The Fuzztones(www.fuzztones.net). After The Fuzztones I started a band with the infamous magic mushroom queen of the East Village, Wendy Wild, called Das Furlines, who stated off being an all girl "Monks" cover band then warped into our own psychedelic punk polka ensamble of whacked-out-women...then or course I've worked on and off with The Fuzztones through the years...you can google all three of these bands and you will find lots of fun info, facts and music. Currenty I also croone out great old honkytonk songs with The Karen Hudson River Band. I still live in the East Village of NYC, also have lived in the mountains of upstate NY. I have been and am an avid gardener, cook, collector of so many types of "stuff", lover of dachshund's, surfer, backcountry crosscountry skier, go-go dancer(in my fab 60's retro fashions), pound out a mean Fender Contempo Organ, singer of old honky tonk tunes and bluegrass, studier of ornithology, world traveler, friend to many, sailor, snorkler, legondary cult rocker, female wrestler and roller-derby queen...just downright COOL person. Most of all, I love the life I've lived and lived the life I've loved.
