FEEL THE FUNK BABY...

About Me

The Future Funk Infinity DJs were founded in Tampa Bay, home of the Funky Breaks. This dynamic group is the brainchild of DJs Deity, Oracle, GURU and D-MAC. Future Funk Infinity is on a mission to take Florida breaks by the reins and lead them in a new direction, re-inventing and re-establishing their home here in Tampa! It all started back in 2004 at a home studio in the heart of Tampa. DJs Oracle, Deity, and GURU came up with an idea to take the city by storm. For the better part of the last two years they have been working on tracks and building up an arsenal of songs to rock the house. Their 1st collaborated project, "BAMBADA'S FANTACY", is a nice mix of old school sample vocals with an even older school beat to really make you think about where it all started for us. DJ Oracle got his start back in 1999 when he met DJ Thatcher and Mondo. At Club Kaos he witnessed Mondo and Thatcher completely take control of the crowd with the music they were spinning and from that moment on he knew what his true calling was. After taking a back seat and watching how it was done, Oracle was given his first chance to shine, opening for Thatcher at the Groovy Mule on Friday and Saturday Nights. Playing alongside DJ Onyx and many other guest DJs made great impressions on the way he spins his tracks and controls the crowd. "Having such a great teacher to learn from in DJ Thatcher was a great blessing to me."Deity, on the other hand, had a bit of a different start to the game. He basically is a self taught DJ who first arrived on the Tampa club scene in 2002 with residencies at Faze2 Lounge, Club Skye, and most recently Club Kachaza and Club Pyro. Guest DJing spots at various clubs and Tampa record stores: Hot Wax, Painted Puppy, The Goovy Mule, Tail Gators, and many more coming up. With his mixture of heavy bass drops, heafty scratches, and smooth as silk mixing, he is a force to be reckoned with at any venue he plays. Deity and Oracle came together with the help of DJ GURU. GURU and DJ Oracle grew up together from about age 15 on, both with a great love for music. After parting ways for a few years as a result of uncontrollable circumstances, they reunited and when they did GURU introduced DJ Oracle to Deity. That was the 1st time they were all in the same room together putting down "the Funk", not even knowing what "the Future" had in store for them. Chance again split the trio up, but after about a year Fate had their paths cross again. They only had the chance to formulate the group before GURU had to leave the state of Florida, leaving Oracle and Deity to fan the flames. The two of them set out to make the club world sit up and take notice. As they soon found out, it is not that easy to do in Tampa without a promoter or any tracks out in the market. So putting the club gigs on the back burner for a while, they focused more on making dope tracks for other DJs to spin in the clubs. Their unique style of melding the old school flavor that got it all started with a NU-Skool feel will make the breaks scene take notice. At that point is when D-MAC came into the picture. He was a friend of both Deity and GURU and at the time resident DJ at Moulin Rouge, The Night Gallery Bottle Club, Barnacles in Brandon, and most recently Pyro and Kachaza. DJ D-mac has also been a guest dj at clubs such as Quench, Code, and others in Ybor. When the Oracle, Deity, and D-MAC where in the same room for the 1st time they knew they had what it takes to put solid tracks together along with crowd pumping performances. The 2 newest members of the group, DJs Mynx and Philammon, have finally rounded out the group. Having met Oracle at the Amp in Ybor, DJ Mynx soon discovered they had a lot in common and to talk about. Taking the electronic scene by the horns was definitely on the top of her list as well. Introducing him to Philammon, soon a solid relationship was realized. The dynamic duo, having moved to Tampa about a year ago from Fort Walton Beach, bring just the right amount of funkin ferocity with bangin beautality. Between the both of them they have all the areas breaks, house, and trance have to offer covered, and covered well my friends. An awesome couple of DJs to be reckoned with as well as recognized, they are sure to be a valuable asset to the FFI crew.
