SloppEStyles started out as a young drummer having a very large musical interest listening to anything he could get his hands on. His musical taste became more specific as he matured and lead him to take great inspiration from Hip Hop, Funk and Glitch / Glitch Hop. SloppE then moved from the drum kit to the turntables at an age of around 16. This was the start of his relationship with turntablism which he now teaches with an organisation called Pedestrian. At an age of around 17 SloppE started to tackle production and this ultimately lead him to where he is now, studying Music Technology at degree level in Leicester and being part of the Hip Hop group, the Phoenix Quarter. The Quarter released a debut 8 track EP which can be downloaded for free at www.myspace.com/phoenixquarter. From the release of the EP the Quarter have opened for big acts such as The scratch Perverts, Jehst, Skinnyman and Kalashnikov. SloppE is now actively working hard with the rest of the Quarter to finish the debut album which is looking to be released just after Christmas. The new album has features from SuparNovar, Big Cakes, Sir Smurf Lil and Skinnyman. SloppE has worked with other artists, having produced beats for Alex Blood and also producing the Riff Raff single Oh my Gosh which features Skinnnyman and can be heard on this page.
