Sounds Like: I've been told I'm a blend of Martina McBride and Allison Krauss. Some say I sound like Faith Hill, some say Trisha Yearwood and then there are those who don't think I sound country at all. It just depends on what part of the country I am in. After years of classical voice training, I decided that I did not have a love for the opera. The day I heard Patsy Cline, Bonnie Raitt and Wynonna, I felt that I had finally found a musical home and I rooted myself in the Country/Rock/Gospel realm. When I accepted Christ several years later, I was exposed to modern worship and essentially blended the two styles together. An occassional story song is great, but my writing tends to focus on the attributes of God and His power to change lives. If I had to define the music in one sentence I would say it's like, "New country meets Jesus and never walks away, soulful, beautifully tender and totally sold out to singing His praises."
