About Me

Welcome!
This is my latest project consisting of a few instrumental hip hop tracks i wrote whilst bored in the studio.
These don't have any vocals yet so if you like what you hear and think you can compliment them, message me & we'll talk.
I will say however that i'm only after rappers that are real & honest. Don't bother messaging me if you're on some wannabe gangsta bullshit.
I'll consider anybody as long as you're keeping it real & true to yourself.
All Tracks Have A Similar Arrangement For Simple Demo Listening.
Intro/Chorus - Verse - Chorus - Verse - Chorus - Bridge - Chorus x 2
The Holster - Verse 1 (00:38) Chorus 1 (01:19) Bridge (02:40)
City Night - Verse 1 (00:43) Chorus 1 (00:02) Bridge (03:26)
Push It Back - Verse 1 (00:49) Chorus 1 (00:09) Bridge (03:27)
Chip Stack - Verse 1 (00:32) Chorus 1 (00:11) Bridge (02:40)
I'd recommend listening on some decent speakers as the bass wont come through on shitty pc monitors.
PS - People keep asking me what equipment etc i use to write these so heres a quick list...
Apple G5 Powermac Dual Processer, Logic Pro 7.2, Various Synths inc Roland SH101, Microkorg, Yamaha CS01, Korg MS-20, Various Pedals, Compressors & FX, Fender J Bass Dlx, Custom Feline Bass, Ibanez Guitar & Various other bits for manipulation & general recording & mixing.

Influences: In No Particular Order

Hip Hop

DJ Premier & Gang Starr, DJ Shadow (Before The Outsider), DJ Krush, DJ Format, Cut Chemist, Dr Dre & Aftermath, Eric B & Rakim, Rakim (The Greatest MC Ever), Notorious Big, 2Pac, Just Blaze, Timbaland, early Ice Cube, Nas, NWA, The Game (Before D.A), Jeru The Damaja, KRS-1 & Boogie Down, EPMD, early Cypress Hill, Public Enemy, Big Pun, Jurassic 5, Talib Kwali, Kanye West, Hi Tek, Dilated Peoples, Ugly Duckling, Dead Prez, De La Soul, Busta Rhymes, Common, The D.O.C, Jungle Brothers, early LL Cool J, early Snoop, Ultramagnetic MC's, early Warren G, Pete Rock & CL Smooth, early Wu Tang,

Other Genres

The Prodigy, Chemical Brothers, Leftfield, Daft Punk, Pendulum, DJ Hype, Nightbreed, Nirvana, Bob Marley, Damien Marley, Massive Attack, Air, Zero 7, Kraftwerk, Mr Scruff, Portishead, James Brown, The Whole Motown era, Prince, John Lee Hooker, Kool & The Gang, Gladys Knight, Chic, Sly & The Family Stone, early Michael Jackson, David Axelrod, Gil Scott Heron, Randy Crawford, Stevie Wonder, Hendrix, White Stripes,

And the odd track or two from these lot... Nightmares On Wax, Primal Scream, Apollo Four Forty, Goldie, Jean Michel Jarre, Kasabian, Muse, Rage Against The Machine, Fatboy Slim, Franz Ferdinand, L7, Orbital, Pitchshifter, Queen, Sex Pistols, Miles Davis, Herbie Hancock, Peter Gabriel, David Bowie, Roger Troutman & Zapp.

Basically any music that has a soul to it and doesn't involve some tosser attempting to "sing" in a cliche metaller grunt over endless tom and snare rolls. There's other distortion types you know apart from a big muff for your predictable muted guitars so why not try using them!? Don't get me started on generic music for kids (where image is more important than the music) because i'll win the argument every time ;)

Plenty More To List But You Get The Point
Sounds Like: I Put More Than 2 Mins Of Effort Into It, Unlike Most Modern Hip Hop!
