About Me

My Interests

Music:

Band Website: jasongraymusic.com
Band Members: Jason Gray and Cocoa his talking guitar.
Influences: My influences have mostly been writers. Early on I loved Paul Simon, Billy Joel, Peter Gabriel, and U2, and in more recent history I lost my heart to Rich Mullins, Randy Stonehill, Mark Heard, Bill Mallonee and Pierce Pettis. So for me it's been more about the lyric or the idea behind a song. In recent history I've been moved by Daniel Lanois, Coldplay, Aimee Mann, Andrew Peterson, Martin Sexton, Jill Phillips, and Over The Rhine.
Sounds Like: I'd like to think that I sound uniquely like myself... but practically speaking, reviewers and fans have compared my work to Bebo Norman, Coldplay, Aimee Mann, Keane, Jill Phillips, Sara Groves, Andrew Peterson, Randy Stonehill, and Jars of Clay.
