He used to live in the basement of Abbath's parents and has his own company.Abbath was the one responsible for getting Varg Vikernes (Burzum) into the metal scene.Euronymous of Mayhem (Nor) is credited for getting Immortal into the whole black metal scene. In the beginning, Immortal started out as a death metal group under the name Amputation, but with Euronymous introducing them to black metal music, they quickly changed their sound and became what they were in present times.The annual Hole In The Sky festival, held in Bergen, Norway, is held in honour of Erik Brdreskift's memory.
