Women of Brewster Place & Mama Day by Gloria Naylor(She's freakin great!). Color Purple, In Search of Our Mothers' Gardens and some other ones by Alice Walker. The Prophet. The Alchemist. Death and the Kings Horseman by Soyinka. Kindred by Octavia Butler. Things Fall Apart by Chinua Achebe. The Longest Letter. Astrology books. Sextrology is a great one. Books on healing. Black Indians by William Loren Katz. Poetry: Hughes, Gwendolyn Brooks, Countee Cullen, Toomer, Paul Laurence Dunbar, Rumi... Got a long list of books I want to read and that have been recommended: The Tipping Point, Start Late End Rich, Wayne Dyer Books, Liar's Poker, all the books I was supposed to, but never read in college and 90% of the books on my shelves.
