W h o -a r e - S i g m a t r o p i c?

Sigmatropic is an indie band obsessed with electronica or vice versa, with three LP's, one EP and one cd-single released.

Sigmatropic was formed in Athens, Greece by Akis Boyatzis in 1997; the band is well-known around the world with two LPs released on Hitch Hyke, Tongue Master and Thirsty Ear in the UK, Europe, North America and Oceania.

The band have collaborated with a galaxy of renowned guests such as Robert Wyatt, Pinkie Maclure, Cat Power, Carla Torgerson, James Sclavunos, Edith Frost, Howe Gelb, Lee Ranaldo, Laetitia Sadier and more.

The band are also veteran performers with scores of live dates under their belts and numerous festival appearances along with headliners including Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Moby, Sonic Youth, Prodigy and Patti Smith.
