tA Cappella

(t)a Cappella is an experimental music project by Avakas and Theofili (playing together since 2006) with percussionist Normal, and session flute player Mits, formed in 2007. Bassist Funkybomber -formerly playing with Avakas in another band- added his sound in 2008. The band is currently working on songs for the upcoming album.

(t)a Cappella is trying to go were it always seems to be wrong, were common sense would not go. It is not something new, it is just an experiment, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. We seek our souls and sometimes we seek for the microphone.
" A crazy weekend went by, where we stayed at normal's apartment for nearly 48 hours, writing, playing, experimenting and collaborating together with Terry , an inspiring minimal electronika sound producer.
A new song emerged, which is uploaded here -we really like it, hope you do too- it's called " Rhythm of Sunshine ", and was written while a snowstorm hit Athens!
Also some other experimental sounds where recorded giving us food for the mind! "

" Εξαιρετικη κυκλοφορια απο αυτην εδω την Αθηναικη μπαντα που πρεπει να κοιμαται με τις κυκλοφοριες των Portishead (προσκυνω) κατω απο το μαξιλαρι τους χωρις ομως αυτο να σημαινει οτι δεν εχουν ταυτοτητα σαν μπαντα.
Ποτε ηλεκτρονικος στα ορια του Trip hop ο ηχος τους και ποτε πιο κιθαριστικος alternative. Στα συν της μπαντας λειτουργουν τα πολυ καλα και χαρακτηριστικα φωνητικα της Θεοφιλης, ενω οι συνθεσεις τους εχουν την ικανοτητα να σου μεταφερουν εικονες.
Προσωπικα το Mystifying rain το οποιο ειναι και το αγαπημενο μου τραγουδι απο αυτη την κυκλοφορια μου αφησε την αισθηση οτι μολις εφαγα χυλοπιτα απο κοπελα που κυνηγουσα 5 χρονια. Ουσιαστικη κυκλοφορια απο μια μπαντα που πιστευω θα μας δειξει πολλα στο μελλον."
