About Me

Hello visitors,

I am Antonis-Vasilis Koundourakis, people just call me Antoni. I am 19 years old, I live in Greece, I stydy chemical engineering in Athens and I am a songwriter. I play the piano, the guitar (classical, acoustic and electric) and I try playing the electric bass. I compose music for lyrics other people or myself have writen. My songs are in Greek but also, and for the most part, in English. In the 6 songs that are here the voice is mine and the lyrics are mine, unless written otherwise in the lyrics session. I hope and I am currently trying to start a professional career in music. I hope you like my work and I would be very happy if you entered this page to become "myspace friends" with me and make a comment or two about my music. If you want more recent news or extra information you can read my blogs.
I wish you all the best, Antoni.

My Interests

Music:

Band Members: Koundourakis Antonis-Vasilis: Composer, piano, guitars, lead guitar, vocals, bass, orchestration. Nikos Yitsis: Co-Composer of "This lonely road" and other songs not on my myspace, my friend and psychological supporter of my struggle. Flora gougoulia: Lyrics of "Ores" (greek song) and of others... Vasia Sotiropoulou: Lyrics of "Ine Skliro" (greek song) and of others... Special thanks to familly and friends, teachers and all the artists in the world, for it is their contribution in the course of my life that helped me become what I am.
Influences: Beatles, Queen, Jethro Tull, Nevermore, haris kai panos katsimihas, vangelis germanos these are my main influences, music I have really LISTENED to, I have grown up with it, know it all by heart and I like it with all my heart and mind. I would also like to thank all the musicians whose music I have heard and I have subconciously been influenced by it. The latest are so many that I can't possibly mention specifically enough for you to get a picture, but generally I submit the following: Greek folk musicians (traditional, rembetika, kritika), Greek classical musicians, Classical musicians, Extreme genres. I thank you all.
Sounds Like: My music sounds different in every song because I believe that every genre of music exists to discribe a certain feeling, but every poem expresses different feelings, so according to what the words say the style of the song is decided and as the composing proceeds the song is span like a web through all the styles I 've known and creates a unike mix of genres, my own style. This is why I prefere writing the lyrics first and then the music. In Conclusion: I Have No Style, Styles serve me and styles I create at will, styles I create for what I feel... ..
