Sarah’s voice lures you into thinking bits of heaven might be here already.

Some of you just might remember Chasing Furies, a band that made waves for their progressive sound with their 1999 debut, With Abandon. Then, as quick as they came, they were nowhere to be seen and lead singer Sarah MacIntosh seemed to vanish off of the radar. Now eight years later, MacIntosh emerges with a new album and sound that is every bit as impressive as the first time we heard her.

The return of Sarah MacIntosh bodes well for an industry in need of fresh expressions. Welcome back, Sarah.

(4 stars)...a terrific alternative pop/rock atmosphere rivaling the best that today’s modern worship has to offer....stunning vocals and a well-crafted alternative sound characterize this impressive return from the lead singer of Chasing Furies.

As both artistic expression and an act of reverence, The Waiters...has been worth waiting for.

...[MacIntosh] invests each song with intensity and emotion. Her voice beckons and cajols, entices, invites, and ultimately compels you to come into this musical feast.

(4 stars)...MacIntosh’s impressive vocals are spot on...this album isn’t anything like what you’re hearing from Chris Tomlin or Israel & New Breed - it’s modern worship with a strong alternative bent that MacIntosh pulls off extremely well.

Sounds Like: If you could hear my mother sing you would know how I came to sound like I do. My voice is most definitely hers. The music on the other hand might be described as Radiohead meets Sixpence None The Richer after listening to a bunch of Peter Gabriel.
