About Me

Being born only 4 pounds and 11 ounces with a shock of red hair was just the beginning for this natural wonder. The tiniest and the loudest in the hospital wing, Kristin - whose deep red locks would later earn her the name Reddi - seemed to come out of the womb with a determination to make herself heard. Dancing and singing at the age of 5 and performing professionally at 7, she always found a way to express her perspective on life.
Born and raised in Chicago, Reddi grew up listening to an eclectic mix of music. Influence came from many directions - the classical music in her ballet classes, the Top 40 and MTV hits she sang her heart out to, her parents' R&B and jazz, and the hard rock in her daily hangout sessions with the garage band boys next door. All shaping the sound and sensibility the singer/songwriter would one day call her own.
With vocals that can soar, pierce or play, Reddi's voice combines youthful pop appeal with an edge. Not only a vocalist - she is a burgeoning songwriter as well. Her songwriting stems from a personal history of journals and poetry as well as everyday inspiration found in relationships, in her morning cup of coffee and on the subway to and from her Brooklyn apartment. The result is songs that are unapologetically universal and unique.
In the second half of 2005, Reddi teamed up with Neil Cabana (of Daisy Ricochet) to write and record a 5 song EP, bringing Reddi's infectious melodies and keen rhymes to Neil's rock/alt sensibilities.
In 2006, Reddi paired with Neil again to write and record a 6 song EP, aptly titled "Single". Effortlessly moving between genres, Reddi instinctively brings the emotion, inflection and tone that each song deserves, proving herself to be an emerging artist that can bridge the gap between pop/rock/club/R&B and beyond - all while remaining true.
Already an accomplished dancer and singer, Reddi has performed throughout the U.S. as well as in Europe, Australia and Brazil.
Reddi was chosen as the 2006 AppleBeam Studios U.K. Songwriting Award winner, received an Honourable Mention in the 2006 We Are Listening international songwriting contest and Honorable Mention in the 14th Annual Billboard World Song Contest.

On the grind...
