SOFA KING HIGH

SOFA KING HIGH Are a Norwich based four piece band, who have been gigging the local music scene for the past 4 years. Playing as many venues as possible. The band members are Jay Harper (guitar), David Spry (drums), John Mungas (bass) and finally Jay's brother Chris Large the front man. They have fused a blend of punk/rock/ska from which Spry and Harper have been playing in local band's for many years. To many to dear to mention. Namely DYNAMO HUM and TOTAL CONFUSION. They were joined over a year ago by Chris Large, who was an accomplished MC liked and respected for his 'for real' lyrical content and style, and gained a regular slot at Norwich Waterfront and local radio. Finally the catchy groovy bass lines were met by Mungas. His passion for hard-core rock and reggae has given the band a different style to the usual rock-rap outfits that plague music stations across the country. The sound is very hard to categorise. One thing that can be said, if you like to skank, headbang or rave like a nutter you'll enjoy SOFA KING HI. We have been writing and recording our songs for the last twelve months or so. Recording at FM studios in Southwold, Plug studios and Purple studios in Norwich. We were also band of the month on www.plugstudios.co.uk in September 2002, for that review check out the site.
