About Me

ALPHA DEPt. - Recording is the coolest studios in Italy for your project.Located just outside of Bologna, it's easy to reach it both by car and by public transports. Here, classic techniques of recordings and new technologies are melt together, in order to satisfy every request. We have analog recorders, 24 track on 2" and 2 track master, linked with a Digidesign Protools Mix Plus D.A.W. capable of 32/24bit I/O. Everything is wired with the 32/32/2 Soundcraft in-line console.The main recording room, 83sq.mt (150 sq.ft) and 4,5 mt (12 ft.) high, is lined with wood and with floating floor. With its excellent acoustics, it's the ideal for instruments like drums, strings, horns, etc. Its wide dimensions make possible that more elements are recorded together. In addiction, other rooms in the studio can be used as recording rooms at the same time.The control room is 30sq.mt (100sq.ft) and there's the TS24 consoles, recorders and also a big selection of outboards and effects, like NEVE, UREI, DBX, AMPEX, EVENTIDE, AKG. The acustic is flat and smooth, it's always a pleasure listen music in our control room, as say every producer and sound engineer that has worked in our studios. Comfortable and quiet environment allow the artist to focus all the energy into the performance.The studio has conditioned and silenced air in every room, relax-room with computer, dsl internet connection in every room, satellite tv, flipper and garden. Giacomo Fiorenza, Francesco Donadello, Giuseppe Barone and Matteo Agostinelli are the studio promoting partners.Sound engineers, musicians, producers, they all were owners of a recording studio. From this situation they developed the idea to open Alpha Dept. Recording, in Bologna, in October 2002.
