About Me

I'm Jason. I live in Colorado. I lived in Florida for a while, and didn't like it. I don't wanna write "about me." Here's some stuff I like and don't like.... LIKES: conversation, stand-up comedy, science, cuddling, sarcasm, dogs, music, mountains, good hip-hop, snow, football, books, maps, pizza, Mark Ryden, David Lynch, that burning feeling you get from keeping mouthwash in your mouth a little too long, drums, strong legs on a member of the opposite sex, peeing outside, drinking more beer than anyone should DISLIKES: lettuce, liars, the term "collector's item", Star Wars eps 1-3, religious junk, celebrity gossip bs, heat, MadTV, presciption drug commercials, "reality tv", speed limits, snooty people, dumb people, and mean people, and pretty much everything else

My Interests

Stuff and junk, and a couple other things too. Also, good comedians like LOUIS CK.......

I'd like to meet:

Interesting people, smart people, funny people. Henry Rollins, Jonathan Katz, Christina Ricci before she got skinny (for immoral reasons)

Music:

"Underground" hip-hop (I hate that term) (Living Legends, El-P, Zion I, DJ Shadow, Lootpack, Hiero, Aesop Rock, etc.) The punk and crusty stuff I was into when I was younger (Filth, Minor Threat, Disrupt, State of Fear, Dystopia, etc.) All the music I grew up hearing around my uncle or mom (Led Zeppelin, Steely Dan, Pink Floyd, Jethro Tull, Cat Stevens, Johnny Cash, The Beatles). And a buncha other shit I've acquired a taste for along the way (Charlie Parker, John Coltrane, Fiona Apple, Mighty Mighty Bosstones, etc, etc.) OH, one more thing... WU-TANG, WU-TANG, WU-TANG.

Movies:

My all-time favorite movie is Drugstore Cowboy. My favorite directors: Paul Thomas Anderson (Magnolia, Hard Eight, Boogie Nights), David Lynch (Blue Velvet, Twin Peaks, Mulholland Drive, Lost Highway), Stanley Kubrick (Full Metal Jacket, Lolita, A Clockwork Orange), Martin Scorsese (Taxi Driver, Mean Streets, Goodfellas), Hitchcock (Lifeboat, North by Northwest, Foreign Correspondent, Vertigo, Rear Window) Two favorite actors are Philip Seymour Hoffman and Frances Mcdormand. I like all kinds of movies... new stuff that makes me laugh or think, artsy stuff that isn't too damn pretentious, film noir. I think my favorite era of movies is probably the mid-60's to mid-70's, so many movies from around that time that I love. I'll watch anything if it's good or interesting but I am pretty damn picky.

Television:

With the exception of a few, most of the stuff I like isn't around anymore... The Wire, Dirty Jobs, Dr. Katz, Mythbusters, Mr. Show, Lucky Louie, Upright Citizens Brigade, Arrested Development, The Office (UK), Extras, Flight of the Conchords, David Attenborough documentaries, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Home Movies, Sealab 2021, Bonanza, Leave it to Beaver,JUST downloaded Californication season 1, and it's great so far. David Duchovney is an amazing comedy actor!

Books:

Jack Kerouac, Hunter Thompson and Charles Bukowski. Also, books by comedians (JIM NORTON, Bill Cosby and Steve Martin). I like to read non-fiction usually, namely science (Richard Dawkins, Carl Sagan). Sometimes religion, not because I'm religious or anything, I'm just interested in the topic.

Heroes:

I don't watch that show.

My Blog

Thank you George Carlin

One of the most important and influential comedic minds to have ever lived has left us.  I am literally in tears right now.  I just went and dug out my ticket stub.  It was February 16,...
