Music, gigs and festivals, books, history and archaeology, sport, films, theatre and life!
Oh.....did I mention DELAYS??
"Just tell me the truth and it makes me feel better"
All kinds, but my preference is for recent/contemporary rock/indie/punk/metal.
I love going to gigs and festivals and collecting CDs/vinyl and anything else by my favourite bands. I've been a devoted Manic Street Preachers fan for many years, but I am now even more devoted to Delays....Great Music and Great Guys!
ABSOLUTELY THE BEST SONG I HAVE HEARD ALL YEAR:
AND HEAR SOME OF AARON'S TORCHTEAM REMIX OF IT:
Currently listening to:
DELAYS - LOVE MADE VISIBLE & WE TOGETHER MAKE A CITY....JUST AMAZING!
DELAYS - You See Colours/Faded Seaside Glamour/B-Sides/Cover Versions/Live...in fact, everything..OBVIOUSLY!
THE ENEMY - We'll Live And Die In These Towns
MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE - The Black Parade
FOUR DAY HOMBRE - Experiments In Living & Fight Death
RAZORLIGHT - Razorlight
THE FRATELLIS - Costello Music
APARTMENT - The Dreamer Evasive
HARD-FI - Once Upon A Time In The West
SUPER FURRY ANIMALS - Hey Venus!

EDITORS - An End Has A Start
AND loads of other random tracks!
I've been to more gigs than I can remember over the last... many....years. :-D

Johnny Depp films, Monty Python films, British films, funny films, intelligent films.
2007 Cinema Outings (probably few and far between, but who knows?!)
BLOOD DIAMOND
Never been a fan of Leonardo DiCaprio, but he is a revelation in this film. Thought provoking and - in places - heart breaking.
HOT FUZZ
Hilarious! Loads of fun, action packed, all star line-up....and Simon Pegg is a comedy genius.
300
Beautifully filmed, full of blood and guts, a fine example of how national pride can mean more than life itself, and those slow-motion shots of very muscled, nearly naked men running across the screen......ooops, sorry - got a little carried away there!
PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: AT WORLD'S END
The next instalment of the adventures of Jack, Will, Elizabeth and their ever expanding circle of dubious characters and accidental heroes. Taken at face value a swashbuckling tale of adventure with subtle special effects (yes, such a thing does exist!) and an interesting ending (just to tantalise those of you who didn't sit through the credits). Maybe not quite up to the standards of the previous two films, but I can still think of a lot of worse ways to spend a Saturday night.
SHREK THE THIRD
Ah.....at last, the 'Adult' Shrek film! I loved this! Yep, the kids will still love it, but there are loads more 'grown-up' ideas and references in this one...and that makes it all the more enjoyable....for us grown-ups!! Being an American animation, obviously there's a little bit of moralising here and there, but otherwise a splendid way to spend a Friday night. :-)
RUN FATBOY RUN
I repeat my comment above....Simon Pegg is a comedy genius. I need say no more - a great film!
CONTROL
Poignant telling of the Ian Curtis story as seen through the eyes of his wife. Beautifully shot by Anton Corbijn. If you love good music, this should be on your 'Must See' list.
Time Team, Soccer AM, A Question Of Sport, Have I Got News For You, Never Mind The Buzzcocks, QI, The IT Crowd, The Mighty Boosh........and thats about it - apart from occasional sport and music programmes.
......And speaking of sport - some of the sporting highlights I've experienced in person:
Superbowl XXI at the Pasadena Rose Bowl, California,
Wales v England in the Six Nations at the Millennium Stadium, Cardiff,
F1 British Grand Prix at Silverstone,
Bjorn Borg playing the opening match as Defending Champion on Centre Court at Wimbledon,
More soccer matches than I can remember,
Meeting two of my Liverpool heroes, Phil Thompson and Sammy Lee,
Watching Sebastian Coe race at Crystal Palace,
Steve Davis playing at one of my local social clubs
.....oh, and OBVIOUSLY watching Greg, Aaron and Colin playing at last year's Soccer Six tournament! ;-D
Terry Pratchett, Robert Rankin & Tom Holt, psychological thrillers, auto/biography, factual history and archaeology, and stuff that is recommended to me by people I respect.
