DO what YOU love and LOVE what you do. I am fortunate enough to be whitewater river guide and a banjo-playing folksinger,so whether going on the river or going on stage, I always look forward to going to "work." This life-style choice doesn't put a lot of money in the bank but it has enabled me to travel extensively and live & tour all over North America & Europe and even down to Brazil & New Zealand.

Aside from picking the banjo, I also play guitar, mandolin, harmonica, dobro,jaw's harp, dulcimer, autoharp and even do a little tap dance shuffle when I play solo. I play in several different bands(y'see banjo players up here in Quebec are hard to come by but it seems in demand)I just formed "THE ROYAL MOUNTAIN RAMBLERS" who play rock 'n'pop songs in a bluegrass syle (new time music,the old-time way) & I front an old-timey outfit called"THE WOODSHREDDERS". I also back up a trio of gals called "YONDER HILL" and am currently proud to be a member of "DESERT HEAT" a kick-ass rockin' country band(check 'em out on myspace as well)
I love the great outdoors(who in their right mind doesn't) am an avid reader a a big time movie buff(going to the video store with me can be a drag since I've seeen so many flicks) I also enjoy going out swing dancing and sweeping ladies off their feet. (holding onto them while constantly on the road is a different matter altogether)Love to play hockey and soccer and go kayaking, snowboarding, mtn. biking, rollerblading, and will try almost anything once!
Although I am constantly in bars playing music I don't drink or smoke (mind you I was a chronic toker for too many years) hell, I don't even drink coffee.I don't really need stimulants since I'm pretty hyper anyways( just ask my band-mates!) Some people might call me obsessive-compulsive(Yet I prefer to call it passionate.) I am quite the extrovert ,however, I can be quite shy when interested in a woman (so ladies make the first move ,will ya!) I can be pretty loud (busking on street corners and trying to be heard over the roar of rapids will do that) but might mumble when talking on the phone. I'll cry during movies ,but never when I hurt myself playing sports (then I just scream & swear!)
To sum it up; I guess I am like most people; just F.I.N.E. (Fucked-up/ Insecure/ Neurotic/ & Emotional or maybe just Fun/ Intelligent/ Nice & Exceptional) I pretty much try to live life to it's fullest (but can easily spend the day doing nothing) and just take it easy ....but take it any way I can.
