Bryan Booked

These songs are four of about 15 that were recorded in my bedroom using an analog 8-track portastudio. I played all guitar and bass tracks, sang all vocals and used a drum machine for the terrible drum tracks. These songs were mostly written between '03 and '05 during a year and a half long hiatus from my band The Booked. I've been playing and writing songs in The Booked since we started back in '97. After putting out a full lenth cd on Radical Records, a split cd with Squiggy on Squigtone Records and doing 3 U.S. tours with bands such as Blanks 77, L.E.S. Stitches, Total Chaos, Road Rage, Submachine and Inspector 7, The Booked took an indefinite break from playing. During that time, I played in the Whiskey River Angels along with other members of The Booked. It was during this time that I started writing and recording demo tracks for a new band. I wanted to write songs that were catchy and anthemic and that were totally unaffiliated with any particular punk sub genre. Now that The Booked is up and going again, these songs have remained unheard except for a few close friends. I couldn't stand for these songs to remain a secret for so long so now I've put them on here for anyone who wants to listen. Though all my energy is devoted to The Booked, I still intend to start a band on the side using these songs (just need to find the right people). Until then, its just me.
