(vocals guitar).
We know Ivan as a drummer from bands like Uncle Meat and Toner, but as songwriter in Venae he shows another side of himself.
The music is less aggressive then before mentioned bands, but still without compromises and armed with the same power. Venae combines this power with honest and emotional lyrics berived from personal experience that many people will be able to relate to. The songs are very emotional and colored with influences of rock, new-wave, electro and gothic.
After writing about 15 songs, the band was completed with Jo Driesmans (guitar), Steven Geerts (bass) and Jonas (drums).
Their debut album 'five seconds beyond traditional concepts' came out on march 22 - 2007. The album was produced by Ivan at his own grindhouse studio.
The band started their own label to prove that with hard work it is possible to get your own album out there!
