In this dismal political/world climate, we must strive to keep the Fun Police at bay and commit acts of lighthearted debauchery, shamelessness, mild mayhem and pure, unadulterated fun. The intent of the Summer of No Shame program is very simple: have fun and serve it brunch in the morning, but only if it was good to you last night. Join by adding SofNS as your friend on MySpace and, of course, espousing the positive debauchery of the program.
The Process:
1. Commit acts of shamelessness. (Do not harm others in the process, as we only aim to have a good time.)
2. Feel neither guilt nor shame after such acts.
3. Keep track, you get a Gold Star for each.
If you feel bad, you’re failing. If you pull the okey-doke on someone, you’re fired. If you spread something nasty, you’re fired. Don’t trifle. Official Program Dates:
The idea was originally born in the spring, lasting until Labor Day, and the spirit of summer is a beautiful thing we respect and thus the official program dates are when the weather is hot (and people wear less clothing), from Memorial Day to Labor Day. However, we do espouse off-season SofNS activities to help keep members in practice and help spread the love year-round.
